FAQ for Wales Comic Con

Q. What is Wales Comic Con?
A. Wales Comic Con is a convention that gives fans of comics and pop culture the chance to meet like-minded people. You will be able to meet guests from a variety of industries including; comics, film, media, art, literature, sports and music all within the show itself. Other activities include stalls selling all the cool stuff, Q&A sessions with guests, exclusive photoshoots and costumed characters on patrol.

Q. What time does the event open and close?
A. The event opens at 10am for early bird entry on both Saturday and Sunday. General entry on both days is from 11am. The event closes at 6pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.

Q. Can I buy tickets on the day?
A. Tickets can be bought on the door, but priority will be given to those who already have already purchased tickets and there may be a queue. However, at previous events, everyone waiting to buy a ticket on the door has been in the venue by approximately 12:30pm.

Q. Will I need to buy a ticket for my child?
A. Children under 5 do not need a ticket. If your child is aged 5-13, you can buy them a reduced price children’s ticket, provided they are accompanied by a paying adult. There is a maximum of two children per adult.

Q. Do I need to print my e-ticket?
A. You do not need to print your e-ticket – we are also able to scan barcodes from a phone or tablet. However, the mobile internet at the venue can be a little unreliable, so we recommend that you download your ticket and store it on your device’s memory or that you take a screenshot of the barcode.

Q. Is there help for attendees with disabilities?
A. We offer priority access for attendees with disabilities. You do not need to pre-register for this service – just bring along proof of disability (a blue badge, proof of receipt of PIP/DLA or a doctor’s note) and speak to a crew member on the day. Full details for attendees with disabilities are available here.

Q. Will all guests appear on both days?
A. Guests appear subject to work commitments and availability and, as such, may appear for all or part of the event. We will always do our best to advertise if a particular guest will only be at the event for a certain timeframe, but please be aware that in some rare cases, guests may have to leave earlier than scheduled.

Q. How much are autographs?
A. All confirmed autograph prices are available here.

Q. Are photo-op tickets still available?
A. A limited number of photo-op tickets are available from the Merchandise Desk. These are sold on a first come first serve basis.

Q. Can I have a photograph taken with a guest?
A. Most guests are willing to have an over-the-table photograph taken if you are purchasing an autograph, however, due to contract issues, this may not always be possible. If you want to make sure you get a photograph with a guest, we recommend purchasing a photo-op which will allow you to have a professional photograph taken with your chosen guest. In some circumstances there may be a charge for a self taken photograph with a guest – we will try to keep any updates regarding to pricing of these as and when we receive confirmation of them taking place.

Q. What time are photo-ops and Q&A panels taking place?
A. The photo-op schedule can be found here and the Q&A panel schedule can be found here. Both schedules can also be found in our free event guide, which you can pick up at the main entrance on the day.
